GroupLink 2019

GroupLink is a 1 hour event where you can meet people in a similar stage of life and area of town with the goal of forming a Life Group. A host, staff members, and volunteers will be on hand to help you navigate the process of meeting others and forming a group.

We host GroupLink once a year (August) and registering in advance is highly encouraged.

When you register in advance, we’ll use your information to provide you with an initial connection at GroupLink. When the event begins, you’ll meet that group first to decide if it works for you. If it does, great! If it doesn’t, volunteers will help you find a better option. We don't assign you to a group. You come to GroupLink to meet others and decide which group you would like to join.

If any of the groups that form at GroupLink aren’t full, we’d love to help you get connected. You can do this by going to theJourney.cc/groups, scrolling down, and filling out the info under Groups Contact. In the “Body” section please tell us what campus you attend, the type of Life Group you’re looking for, what area of town you live in, and what is your stage of life (age, married with kids, married with no kids, single, empty nester, etc.).

Open group listings are active for two weeks after GroupLink. Openings are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We will try our best, but we cannot guarantee a spot in a Life Group. However, you can also try a Short-Term Group. They’re like Life Groups, but meet weekly for a short term to explore one topic with the opportunity to assimilate into a Life Group. Our next round of Short-Term Groups on our Orange City campus will be in October (2019) with online registration beginning in September. Our Sanford, Deland, and Deltona campuses will offer Short-Term Groups in February (2020) with registration beginning in January (2020).

Another option could be to form a Life Group on your own. You can do this by finding 8-12 adults (4-6 married couples or 8-12 adults of the same gender) interested in being in Life Group with you and going to theJourney.cc/groups, scrolling down, and filling out the info under Groups Contact. In the “Body” section please tell us you’re looking to form your own Life Group. We’ll get in touch with you and get the process started.

No. We will use your registration information to introduce you to people at GroupLink you could potentially be in a group with to give you a starting point. Only you can decide if a group logistically works for you. You come to GroupLink to meet others and decide which group you would like to join.

Registration is highly encouraged because we will use the registration information to help you meet people with similar group preferences.

At GroupLink, everyone will start the evening with an initial connection group comprised of other people looking for the same type of group in the same area of town. The first step when you arrive is to talk about meeting night and location. If the logistics of this connection group work for you, you've joined a group. If it doesn't work, volunteers will help you find a different group.

+ Does this mean you are assigning me to a Life Group? What if the initial connection group doesn’t work for me?

No. We want to introduce you to people you could potentially be in a group with to give you a starting point. Only you can decide if a group logistically works. If the initial group isn't a good fit, volunteers will help you find a different group.

You go to GroupLink, a 1 hour event, to join a Life Group. Life Groups are small groups of six married couples or eight individuals of the same gender who meet weekly in someone’s home for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

Childcare is provided for our DeLand & Sanford campuses. Childcare is NOT provided for our Orange City campus.

Due to the magnitude of the launch, Deltona will not have a GroupLink this August. We are asking those of you who are planning to attend our new Deltona campus and would like to connect into a Life Group in August to please register for the Orange City GroupLink. Another option is Short-Term Groups. Our next round of Short-Term Groups will be in February 2020 with online registration beginning in January 2020. You can also join a serving team by attending Journey Connect after one of our services.
