  1. Throughout this series, we have been discussing the different rhythms in your life that can change everything. What is one thing that you’ve taken away from this series that has left the greatest impact in your heart and mind?
  2. Read Luke 17:11-19. Do you think the other nine former lepers believed that they were grateful? How would you describe their attitude? How is it different from gratitude?
  3. What are some things that make it easy (or difficult) for you to feel grateful in life?
  4. Gratitude has to be expressed. What is a story from your life where you have seen over-the-top gratitude expressed (or expressed it yourself)?
  5. Being grateful keeps you fully present. Think about some of the most incredible moments from your life, times where you were saturated with gratitude. Share one of those times with the group. Did your gratitude at the moment allow you to experience it more fully?
  6. Read 1 Thess. 5:18. Why do you suppose it is God’s will for us to be grateful?
  7. Choosing gratitude changes your focus. Life can be difficult and full of disappointment. In your own words, what does it look like to be grateful even when facing hard times
  8. Gratitude fuels your joy. Read Nehemiah 8:10 and 1 Thess. 5:16-18. What is it about being grateful that gives us the ability to experience joy?
